Service here is generally highly regarded, with attentive staff ensuring guests feel valued, although some have noted that service pace can be slow during peak times, especially brunch. Nevertheless, the overall experience—marked by a combination of impeccable plating, high-quality ingredients, and spectacular lakeside vistas—makes a visit to Lone Eagle Grille truly worthwhile.
While prices reflect its premium positioning, regular diners find the balance of flavor, presentation, and setting worth the investment. Whether you’re indulging in a multi-course dinner or savoring a leisurely weekend brunch, Lone Eagle Grille offers a refined slice of Lake Tahoe’s culinary charm, making it the ideal destination for anyone seeking a special meal elevated by one of the most beautiful natural backdrops.
We had an incredible experience all the way around at the Lone Eagle Grille for brunch today. Our table was out on the patio, giving us breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe during our meal. The brunch menu was great, and the service was outstanding. If you're looking for a special occasion dining experience in the Lake Tahoe area. Lone Eagle Grille is your place!
This place was awesome in all aspects. The food was just amazing. We had a four course meal and every plate was perfect with tons of flavor and well presented. The other big thing are the views from this place. Just spectacular. The main dining room has a really nice ambience.Overall, highly recommended. Update: came back after a year. Place is still amazing. However prices went up but I am unsure that this is justified. Service was amazing, though. Next time, we are thinking on just eating at the bar or the adjacent tables.
I recently visited the Lone Eagle Grill, and while the food was good, I felt it wasn’t quite worth the high price—especially compared to other steakhouses. For example, the prime rib I had was a bit dry, though the tomato paste on top was flavorful (just not a great pairing). What truly sets this restaurant apart, though, is the ambiance and service, both of which are outstanding. The atmosphere creates an unforgettable experience, and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. With the Lone Eagle Grill set to close in February, it will be deeply missed. If you’ve never been, I’d recommend visiting before it’s gone—the overall experience might just justify the cost.
Great place for a meal on the water. Views are gorgeous. They do partial validation for the parking. Sunday meals are brunches, with a prix-fixed menu. The options are good. Just be prepared.. the service is sooooooo slow. Our brunch took about 3.5 hours!!! And we constantly had to go fetch the server so we could ask for something or to ask them to speed it up.
This was our favorite dining experience of the trip. The steak was well prepared, and the sea bass was served in an eye pleasing display surrounded by perfectly cooked muscles. The prices were about 15% higher than we are used to in our area, but everything is higher in Incline Village. The restaurants atmosphere was perfect for a snowy day.
Danielle is my server and she was wonderful, in fact, the entire experience was! The only thing I would say, is that the food had less flavor than I had expected. It had all the ingredients all the textures, my duck may have been slightly overcooked, as I like rare to medium rare. It was more medium.... And the portion sizes were actually phenomenal. Not overly stating this at all. But often times when you go to places like this, you are left hungry after spending $150 a person. I however couldn't have to search because I was quite full. But to be honest, I started with dessert and that was my boozy hot chocolate. It was wonderful! If there was just a touch more flavor, I would have given it a 5 out of five all day!
Quick Summary Great view of the lake. Food and service were good, but probably one of the worse molasses breads I've had. Cocktails were good as well. Pricing was a bit high but you are paying for the ambiance and the views Food- 4 stars Bread- the free bread was very disappointing. The molasses bread was probably the worst I've had. One bite and I was done Short rib- this was very good. Perfectly cooked and very delicious Chicken- the dark meats were good and juicy. However, the breast was pretty dry. Sauce was solid though Service- 4.5 stars Service was relatively fast and attentative. Had a few moments when we had to flag down our waiter, but was usually taken care of well Bottom Line Solid restaurant with one of the best dining views of Lake Tahoe. Skip the bread
